Rancho Carmen is a community lot from approximately 30 small-holder farmers in the rural canton of Chinchipe. Right on the edge of the Amazon Rainforest, Chinchipe has an amazing biodiversity that has long contributed to unique coffee being grown in the hills and mountain sides of the region.
This lot is from ACRIM, the Asociacion Agropecuaria Artesanal de Productores Organicos Cuenca del Rio Mayo, a group made up of many small farmers in the region. The coffee is washed and fermented on each farm, then dryed and sold by ACRIM. Our partners at Caravela assist in the dry-milling and lot building process, along with export/import services. A combination of extremely unique terroir, passionate quality focused farmers, and superb milling and processing makes this Rancho Carmen community lot a bright vibrant coffee with wonderful juicy sweetness and a strong heavy body.
